Electric power indicators May 2020

 

Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem AD (CGES) is joint stock Company based in Podgorica. The core activity of the Company is electricity transmission. The electricity transmission system consists of 1411 km of overhead lines and 25 substations at 110 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV voltage level, while the total transformation capacity of the transmission network is 3,866 MVA. In order to ensure smooth system operation 24 hours a day, transmission system monitoring and control is performed from the organizational part National Dispatch Centre, by using state-of-the-art software tools.

In May 2020 CGES transmitted a total of 569, 312 GWh of electricity, which is 20,66 % more than in the same month last year. Of that, 52.91 GWh was delivered to direct consumers, 163,569 GWh to distribution consumers, while 352,833 GWh was delivered to other electricity systems.

When it comes to electricity generation in Montenegro, in May this year 65.127 GWh of electricity was injected into the transmission system from production facilities, of which 34.397 GWh, or 53%, was generated in hydroelectric power plants, and 30.728 GWh, or 47%, was obtained from the wind.

During May, in addition to current maintenance, the CGES Maintenance Service performed 19 revisions and 12 overhauls of equipment in substations, as well as 3 interventions. When it comes to overhead lines, 8 revisions and 8 overhauls were performed, as well as 5 emergency interventions. The performance of these activities is realized with our own resources, thanks to the professional and quality staff, as well as modern equipment owned by our company.
