Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem (CGES) and the NGO Olive Growers Association Boka have signed a Business and Technical Cooperation Agreement in SS Lastva.
CGES Executive Director Ivan Asanović and Olive Growers Association (OGA) Executive Director Vesna Đukić signed the Agreement.
This Agreement made the existing cooperation official and created the basis for its further strengthening. By joining forces, CGES and OGA Boka agreed that in the future they will plan and implement a series of activities aimed at increasing the resources and knowledge they possess to improve their activities.
CGES Executive Director Ivan Asanović expressed great satisfaction with the signing of the Agreement and recalled the beginning of this fruitful cooperation, which was created through CGES’ campaign Our Olive.
“As a socially responsible company, which takes care of environmental protection, we made a specific contribution to the development of olive growing in Boka by planting 1,000 olive seedlings, although I firmly believe that this is not the final number. I hope that with this act we have had at least a little impact on raising awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and investing in it", Asanović said.
OGA Boka Executive Director Vesna Đukić emphasised the importance of today's confirmation of good cooperation, not only in terms of the development of olive growing culture in Boka and beyond, but also through the achievement of future goals important for olive growers.
In the coming days, CGES and OGA Boka will commence informative and educational activities, with which they will intensively work on the promotion of olive production and show an example of socially responsible business.
